The model workshop provides extensive mechanical equipment to the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape for the production of their models from a wide range of materials. Students are assisted with recommendations and practical know-how by the workshop manager, Hartmut Brückner, and the tutors.
In principle, models should be planned in such a way that they can be made independently. Students must bring necessary material with them.
Prerequisite for the operation of the machines (band saw, circular saw, etc.) is the basic machine certificate. Introductory courses to obtain this certificate are offered by the workshop manager at the beginning of each semester.
During opening hours, tools and small machines, such as drills, mini circular saws or Styrocut, can be borrowed upon presentation of a valid student ID.
Towards the end of the semester, when many students' models are due, scheduling difficulties and bottlenecks may occur. We ask that this be taken into account when scheduling.
The user regulations must be known to every user and must be adhered to for safety reasons.
